蔡志忠先生在鬼狐仙怪系列漫畫第Ⅱ輯中，選繪「杜子春」與「板橋十三娘子」兩篇中國玄奇文學經典故事。
「板橋三娘子」講述一個美麗但會施法把來往旅客變成驢子的客棧老闆娘的故事。「杜子春」講述一個揮霍的紈絝子弟與其受到神仙試煉的過程。　
這兩篇除具娛樂效果外，在人性方面刻劃也頗深刻，讀者可深入體會。中國古代玄奇神怪故事多篇，亦真亦假、亦莊亦諧，可一窺古人豐富的想像力。

"Ban Chiao's Thirteenth Niang Tz" and "Du Tz Chuen" are two popular classics of Chinese historical literature. "Thirteenth Niang Tz" talks about a beautiful manageress of a backpacker inn who can turn customers into donkeys. As for "Du Tz Chuen", this story unfolds the process of an extravagant lad who struggles through the tests of life implemented by a fairy.
